  • Graduation + 2-Year D.El.Ed / BTC from a recognized institution.
  • OR Graduation + 2-Year D.Ed (Special Education) recognized by RCI.
  • OR Intermediate (50% marks) + 4-Year B.El.Ed .
  • OR Graduation + BTC Urdu / Moallim-e-Urdu (before 11 Aug 1997) — Urdu teachers only.
  • ⚠ B.Ed holders are NOT eligible for Paper 1 as per Supreme Court ruling.
Paper 2
(Upper Primary)
Class 6 to 8
  • Graduation / PG (50% marks) + 1 or 2-Year B.Ed (NCTE recognized).
  • OR Graduation + 2-Year D.El.Ed / BTC.
  • OR Graduation (45% marks) + B.Ed under NCTE transitional norms.
  • OR Graduation (50%) + B.Ed Special Education (RCI recognized).
  • OR Intermediate (50%) + 4-Year integrated B.A.B.Ed / B.Sc.B.Ed / B.El.Ed .

How to Apply for UPTET 2026 Online Form (OTR Process)

Step 1: Visit the official OTR portal at uptet.upessc.org/otr/info . Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) by entering your full name, date of birth (as per Class 10 certificate), gender, email, and mobile number.

Step 2: Verify your identity via MFA (OTP) sent to both your registered mobile and email simultaneously. Generate your permanent OTR ID .

Step 3: Complete your profile — enter Aadhaar / PAN / Voter ID details, category (General / SC / ST / OBC / EWS), domicile state, and Class 10 board details.

Step 4: Upload scanned documents — Passport Photo (JPEG, 3.5×4.5 cm, 20–50 KB, white background) and Signature (JPEG, 4.5×2.5 cm, 2–50 KB, blue/black ink on white paper).

Step 5: Login to the UPTET 2026 application portal at uptet.upessc.org . Select your paper — Paper 1, Paper 2, or Both . Choose exam city preference and enter higher qualification details (D.El.Ed / B.Ed / B.El.Ed).

Step 6: Pay the application fee via SBI e-Pay (Net Banking / UPI / Credit / Debit Card). No extra transaction charge. Complete payment before 26/04/2026 .
